Peter R. Gennuso, CFP

Peter R. Gennuso, CFP, is a principal with the Gennuso Financial Group.  He is also an Investment Advisor Representative with Woodbury Financial Services, a Registered Investment Advisor. 

Gennuso has over 20 years of experience in various financial disciplines.  Over the past 16 years he has specialized in personal and business financial planning.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Marketing from DePaul University.  He also has met the criteria for education and work experience to carry the Certified Financial Planner designation since November 1997.   

Specializing in benefits planning, business continuity planning, and personal financial planning, Gennuso has earned numerous awards for quality in sales and customer service. He is a member of the Greater O’Hare Association of Commerce and Industry (GOA), having served on the Board of Directors from 1995 – 2001.  He served as Chairman of the Board in 2000. 

Having grown up in Elk Grove Village, he is a longtime resident of the Northwest Suburbs.  He currently resides in Schaumburg and maintains an active presence in church and community organizations.  Gennuso is past moderator of the Queen of the Rosary Parish Council, and past president of the Queen of the Rosary School Board.  He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Albert Cardinal Meyer Council, and has served as the council chairman of the Knights of Columbus Mentally Handicapped Fund Raising Drive.  This statewide event benefits local organizations serving the mentally handicapped.  Gennuso has also served on the Board of Directors of the Make A Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois.  He is married and has three children.
